July 15, 2021 – Bengaluru, On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, Government of Karnataka (GoK) supported by Tata Technologies Limited (TTL) and 20 Industry Partners including Yaskawa, launched an innovative program – UDYOGA to transform 150 Government owned Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) into “Technology Hubs”. YASKAWA feels honoured and privileged to be a part of UDYOGA, first of its kind initiative in India, which primarily aims to create skilled workforce across Karnataka to address the state’s Industry 4.0 manpower needs. The program gradually aims to create 20,000 highly skilled individuals per annum on long term courses and train 1,00,000 professionals per annum on various short-term courses.
Hands-on experience of students on Industrial robots for various industry applications and Motion Control Product across 150 ITI will enhance employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in various industry segment. The availability of such skilled manpower across various technology areas is likely to benefit the industrial ecosystem of Karnataka.
The program brochure and website were officially launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister– Mr. B.S. Yediyurappa and Deputy Chief Minister– Dr. CN Ashwath Narayana in the presence of all other ministers and government officials. Presence of Yaskawa branding on the first and inner page of the UDYOGA brochure is really a proud moment for all of us.
