Connect the braking resistor to drive models 2004 to 2021 and 4002 to 4012 as shown in Figure 1.

When you use a braking resistor, set L8-01 = 1 [3% ERF DB Resistor Protection = Enabled] and set one of the MFDO parameters H2-01 to H2-04 = D [MFDO Function Select = Braking Resistor Fault]. Use a sequence that uses MFDO to de-energize the drive.
